2017-2018 Achievements:
- Ishan, Nicholas, & Ryan represented River East at the District 4 Spelling Bee on April 24. Congratulations to Nicholas for winning 2nd place!
- Benjamin, Guadelupe, Josiah, Leannjenae, and Naierah represented River East at the District 4 Science Fair. Our 4th grade team of Speologists won 3rd place for their experiment on Growing Speleothems!
- We raised enough funds to adopt two bats from Bat World Sanctuary! After a school-wide vote, we adopted "Benger the Avenger" and "Bootsanna."
- Our Green Team was one of 5 winning schools in the NYC Department of Education to win a $10,000 energy grant! (Update: We have purchased a greenhouse with the funds and are awaiting building permit before construction.)
